Sports Massage

The benefits of Sports massage can fall into four categories:

Part of your training programme, this is considered ‘maintenance’, to keep your body in good working order, This maintenance massage provides an early warning system to the risk of potential injury. Areas of tightness or tension may be detected and appropriate massage techniques, and stretch manipulations may then be applied to overcome the problem and restore flexibility.

Treatment massage can be given as rehabilitation to soft tissue injuries, this may include the use of heat or ultrasound.

Pre-event Massage will help your body respond to the demands of increased activity and facilitate optimum performance. On race day it will warm the muscles and enhance your warm-up.

Post Event Massage the main aim of this massage is to promote speedy and complete muscle recovery, and is best soon after the event.
